Originality NEED NOT SUGGEST THE "FREAKISH" NOR THE "FLASHY" In the portraits we make are combined good taste and that effect of the unusual which make them stand out brightly against the dull effect of ordinary work. PHOTOGRAPHS That Impress the Onlooker with the Personality of the Sitter F. A. FREE "The Photographer in Your Town" 1426 Brady Street Davenport, Iowa 12—Jack Burke sent to study hall for a two weeks' sojourn. Same old story, triumph of nicotine. 13—Many stiff joints and sores. Physical torture hard on the heavyweights. 14—Another movie. This time Mary Pickford in the "Little American". Curran impersonates a preacher of color. The Lee County students said it was "Hupsch". 15—Home Coming Day. We all get off to see the soldiers march. Some get back late and the M. D. had something unpleasant to say. 16—Third floor has a feed. Monger gives "Bevo" a shower while talking to him. 17—Juniors beat Geneseo, 18-0. Another movie. A slide featuring the effects of physical culture on three of the philosophers is shown. It certainly was true to life, although the victims thought "it was so utterly rude". 18—Joe Mack gives us a song, entitled, "Bring on the Pickles". Everybody applauded. 19—The M. D. visits the Frat House. We are inclined to believe that there was an ultimate cause back of it. Page 151
